Written in support of a planning application for a new PBCC meeting hall and worthy of a place in this thread.
There is nothing more needed in this "modern" world that we live in, than a place to strengthen ones faith and pursue core christian values which are the heart of any great community.

I am very hopeful that planning will be granted in view of providing a suitable place where charitable events can be organised.
provide the much needed facilities for the RRT, which is an International charity ready to assist any one in time of need
The RRT benefits many in times of need and supports a lot of great causes in the area. The proposed storage space and facilities proposed as part of this application is welcomed.
I have seen a number of negative comments about the PBCC community and am sympathetic with any person who has been fed fabricated information, really recommend that anyone with unsubstantiated perceptions should try and find out what really is the case as having known these persons for a long time myself, know they make a positive contributions to any community.

It is comforting to note that there are those who can see through the smoke and mirrors...............
The Exclusive Bretheren (EB) will provide no added value to our delightful village or protect its way of life and culture which is open and inclusive. .Members of the EB are forbidden to associate with the general public and their practices/attitudes and are questionable in this modern day.

A further, perfect example of 'smoke and mirrors' by the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church-run Rapid Relief Team.

https://www.facebook.com/16526222716573 ... 835558997/

Just 12 seconds into the video, the following claim is made:-

'This service has been done by a number of teams in Plymouth 365 days a year for the last 20 years'

Yes, very possibly, but the actual Rapid Relief Team has only done it for the last four years, if that. Other teams were doing the soup run when the then Exclusive Brethren were still banned by their leaders from giving to charity.

Deserves it's place in this thread. All accompanied by Ralph McTell's 'Streets of London' music. Hope he's getting his cut in royalties from it too? Especially Knowing what the PBCC are like with issues surrounding copyright.

we're not trying to look out for the public or the press to take notice of us, we're not interested in that, not interested in that. Plenty of invitations to appear and speak publicly at important forums, and it's a trap, it's a trap.
So why tweet about 100 times about taking some hay on lorries across Australia?

Maybe the only leader of any organisation on the planet to describe the Eiffel Tower thus...........
It's just an over-age rusting piece of metal. I'd be ashamed, I'd be ashamed of the Eiffel Tower. I've seen it, it didn't impress me, I thought it was notably ugly.
............and then meet in a place like this!

RRT, Kilmarnock, supported by RRT, Glasgow were privileged to serve a Scotland wide event held in Glasgow today, Saturday 15th September. Friends and families of those recovering from addictions, along with addiction recovery groups from across Scotland met, in an annual event, to remember those who have lost their battle with addiction and to celebrate with those who are in recovery. Roses were thrown in the Clyde to remember each lost loved one followed by a walk through Glasgow ending at Glasgow Green where RRT served food and refreshments.

I want to remember those who lost their battle with the Exclusive Brethren (Plymouth Brethren Christian Church) the people who run RRT, who could stand the pain no more and sadly took their own lives. The list is extensive and there are others, but the coroners involved seem to have been silenced somehow?

And let's remember those whose battle with PBCC continues....................

Our adherence to these principles should never stop us offering to the wider public (including former Brethren) the opportunity to attend and benefit from our system of Christian worship in accordance with paragraph 4 below, or to learn from us the benefits of a Christian life. Nor should these principles ever result in us acting other than in accordance with the law, or at any time in a manner that lacks compassion, care, or fails to pay due regard to the needs or vulnerabilities of others. A person who acts otherwise is not acting in accordance with our doctrine or beliefs. Some practical examples are set out in the paragraphs that follow.
No action should be taken in any way to treat vindictively, maliciously or unfairly persons whether within or outside the community, including those who were within the community and who are leaving or have left the community.
Where legal redress needs to be taken in relation to breaches of the law affecting the church, a proportionate and preventative approach should be taken.

For a charity outfit headlining 'Community - Compassion - Support' and serving food, I looked at their Facebook page this morning expecting to see news of RRT teams being sent to Indonesia, following the devastating tsunami they have suffered. Imagine my disappointment to read instead that
RRT KIngs Lynn are serving breakfast at Peterbourgh cathedral today for 70 people who have bravely slept out for the night in order to raise awareness for the homeless'.
Kinda defeats the object doesn't it? Either feed the real homeless, or allow those raising awareness of the homeless to complete their protest accurately!

Does society really need this kind of cheap, hands-clean, minimum-effort assistance, provided almost exclusively in areas that the PBCC inhabit? Be even better if they could spell where they are!

They could, of course, simply have joined the 70 at Peterborough Cathedral, taking a pack of sandwiches and a thermos flask, like most of us do when involved in this type of activity.

Maybe one day they will offer breakfast to those of us unfortunate enough to live in flats, terraced houses and semi's?
