50's & 60's Rock and Roll

Post by twotimothytwo » Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:17 am

THIS WEEKEND
Hosted by Rapid Relief Team NZ
The Caroline Bay Rock and Hop is Hospice South Canterbury’s largest fundraiser the year with over $70,000 raised at the 2018 event! A three day celebration on the 15th, 16th & 17th March of classic, and retro cars, motorbikes and caravans. The theme being a 50’s 60’s Rock and Roll with a lot of classic vehicle and Rock and Roll enthusiasts from around the country. A very important and well supported event for both the Hospice and South Canterbury. In 2018 the Caroline Bay Rock and Hop bought in close to $3million extra into our local economy and drew around 10,000 people down to Caroline Bay to either display their cars or to see classic cars on display. It’s expected to draw similar numbers this year with a possible 1000 cars on display! The Gala day is the big public day and last year RRT provided valuable fundraising for Hospice with delicious coffee and burgers. RRT will be cooking again and producing quality coffee this Saturday morning. We look to seeing you rock up!

Most Christian critics boil the ideologies in Rock and Roll down to five major themes: Sex, Drugs, Rebellion, False Religion, and Satan.

Bloody hell, back in the 70's and 80's, listening to any sort of live or pre-recorded music would get you kicked out.

In one way, it's great to see the peebs getting involved in the community, but until they own up, recognise, compensate for the lives trashed from back then, there will always be a sense of unfairness hanging in the air.

Is 'new light' any better than no light at all?
I have my doubts.

Having now secured total domination over assets, businesses and personnel and winning the slavish devotion of 50 odd thousand persons, the little things the EB once obsessed over are now quietly being dropped. IMO, this was always what 'separation from evil' was all about since the 1950's. A Hales-driven agenda to ensure that no non-EB spouses or business partners could stand in the way.

Now sons can be turned against their fathers, brothers against brothers at the word of one man and no one says a thing, so scared into submission they are.

All in the name of 'mainstream church Christianity'.
