Four Days Before Christmas

Post by Ian McKay » Sun Sep 02, 2018 9:22 pm

After four years of inactivity, Marion Evans’s blog has sprung to life again, promising to expose the aggressive, wasteful, unwarranted, ill-conceived litigation by a member of the PBCC. See

This litigious tendency of members of the Hales fellowship earned them an avalanche of damning, hostile publicity arising from their unproductive attempts to sue Dick Wyman, Dan Little, Sheila Seesahai and Tim Twinam. It is also one of the Brethren habits that made the UK Charity Commission reluctant to grant charitable status to their meeting room trusts.

It’s clearly beneath the dignity of brethren to pursue their matters before the unjust judge and not before the assembly.
J. H. Symington Vol. 104 page 188 (Westfield, March 1982)

I've often pondered why the PBCC (who claim to be' 'the highest court in the land') have to resort to using some of the highest profile and most expensive lawyers in the land to fight their corner. Gallant Maxwell, Farrers and Kingsley Napley all come to mind, there may be others they have used.

1 Peter 2:15-23
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
