Re: Litigation

It would be helpful if the contact details for the charity commision could be provided if any one has this Information I understand that the commision has few people who police charities so If reference details can be quoted that may help to get messages to the right people.

Re: A question

<t>Thank you friends for your comments.<br/> <br/> My reason for asking was because I want to be ahead of the frame if indeed there are discrepancies. I have read the book twice and as a person who through grace was enabled to leave right after Aberdeen I didn’t see anything.inaccurate<br/> <br/> It...

A question

I have enjoyed reading Rebecca Stott ‘s book on two occasions. I have been told by several friends that they have not read it because of unspecified inaccuracies. One friend was about to stop reading after 50 pages or so having concluded that it was an attack on Christian people. Having encouraged t...

<t>I can understand your visit to the zoo was memorable. When I read your comment regarding the facial similarity between one of the monkeys and an accountant brother I wondered if this was a thinly disguised attempt to introduce the subject of evolution. Accountants have the reputation of being ver...

Re: Comments on Percy Lyon and Alfred Gardiner, London

Lovely memory of PL and Portobello town hall. I think that locality must have been a bit loose to allow you Erect Vessel to skip the meetings and enjoy real ice cream With a young sister. I can only remember one visit to Portobello fellowship meetings . I think it was with the ‘Boys’ engaged on a ch...

Re: Comments on Percy Lyon and Alfred Gardiner, London

Charles I wish to add to other members thanks for these beautifully written articles. Although I only knew these two men as a result of attending meetings when they came to Scotland and therefore very much less than yourself I feel as if I can see them plainly almost like a 3D film. These men were q...

David John Ray

I stumbled across on TV a sad human interest story about a man David John Ray who was the son in a family of Exclusive brethren and who died intestate. The programme is called Heir Hunters and can be found on BBC2 iPlayer. Series 12.15. It was introduced as follows: Michael Buerk and the team look i...

Re: New Limits to Religious Freedom

Does anyone know what ‘conversion therapy’ actually means? Are there religious and non religious organisations offering such services? If there is the possibility this may be banned by law it must be very serious stuff .

<t>Like you I believe that those who have endured <br/> Personal sorry at the hands of brethren could be affected <br/> for the rest of their lives When I read some of the posts<br/> reporting terrible treatment I well realise that people<br/> will reach many different opinions. Surely that shouldn’...

Re: Trump Administration embraces separation

That is awful. But is it true? This newspaper has been exciting left wing prejudices for decades and I would treat any of their comments on the US government with large pinches of salt in spite of the fact that it is a democraticaly elected government seeking to sort out the problems of excessive im...
